I’m British and being able to run with so many fellow Brits makes me feel at home. A great race for a great city.

When you pass through the centre of Benidorm and see all those people, you forget about the tiredness, the kilometres and anything that’s bothering you or any negative thought. It’s a shot of energy that lasts you the whole race. What’s more, running with so many people of so many nationalities makes you feel that you’re at a great event.

In Benidorm, the people give you the encouragement you need in a race from the first kilometre. All that, along with spectacular views, running at night and fantastic organisation means that I put Benidorm Half on my race calendar every year.

For me, the Benidorm Half marathon is different because of it goes along the beach promenade, through its tall buildings, the mood of the public when they cheer in English and Spanish and the excellent treatment of the organization and especially of all the volunteers who make the runners enjoy. I hope to prepare to compete in another edition.

My favourite race for the course, the atmosphere on the streets, the climate, the impeccable organisation and the magic of running at dusk next to one of the most famous beaches in the world.
